Heart Disease - Lipitor
I have been on Lipitor, Zocor and Pravacol. increased Synthroid to 75 mcg and started Lexapro 10 mg as been isolating and sleeping way too much –Referral made to MGH Endocrinology Clinic appt. Please can you forward any information that you have. He is still suffering from the muscle soreness though. I took myself off for the same reasons as everybody else. I was almost bedridden by December and I asked the Dr. I was curious if others had experienced these symptoms on lipitor

Question: I am taking the medication lipitor. Ten milligrams of Lipitor reduces LDL-C 39%, a strong response needed by cardiac patients and people with severely elevated cholesterol. No one believed that his symptoms (total cognitive amnesia) were anything other than some cerebral problems such as a stroke and the ordeal must have been devastating to say the least. It is so frustating to me that we should have to suffer like this when we paid good money for this prescription drug. Anyone else experience this

around the middle of August I provided some blood to my doctor so the lab could check cholesterol. My cholesterol is very high and he wants me to get it lowered. Although they're mainly used to normalize elevated cholesterol levels, other beneficial effects include reducing the risk of Alzheimer's, shrinking obstructive plaques in the arteries, protecting against stroke, an anti-inflammatory effect on blood vessels, and perhaps reducing the risk of osteoporosis in vulnerable women. I am now working as a distributor because I am so excited about this. I have also experienced the heart palpatations at night, general fatigue, and muscle tiredness (though I have lost no muscle strength). Still have a little pain in the morning when I start walking, but that soon fixes itself.

I have also been having trouble remembering what I'm saying and finding the right words in a conversation. THE TISSUE AROUND HIS LEFT KNEE HURT SO MUCH HE HAD IT REPLACED THINKING IT MAY HELP. It has been about a year since I stopped taking the lipitor and most of my problems went away fairly quickly after stopping.
